The result of VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE)-2016 was released on Thursday.
A student of Sri Chaitanya Junior College, Andhra Pradesh, Sevakula Vamshi, has secured the first rank in the examination.

According to a press release, G. Viswanathan, VIT Chancellor, said 2,12,238 candidates had registered for VITEEE. The examination for admission to various B.Tech programmes offered by VIT University’s Vellore and Chennai campuses was held from April 6 to 17 in 118 cities across India, Dubai, Kuwait and Muscat. Mohil Patel from Gujarat secured the second rank, while Satyajit Ghosh of Delhi came third.

Counselling

Counselling for candidates, who secured ranks up to 8,000, would be held on May 9, while it will be held for ranks from 8,001 to 12,000 on May 10, ranks from 12,001 to 16,000 on May 11.

Counselling for those who obtained ranks from 16,001 to 20,000 will be on May 12, the release said.
