Step by Step Process to Check VITEEE Result 2016
The result of VITEEE 2016 will be issued on the official website and candidates will be able to check it by following the steps below:

• Firstly, candidates will have to access the link which will be uploaded here, once the 2016 result of VITEEE is announced. Candidates may also access the official website of the University. However, on the official website, candidates will have to seek the link to the result portal. So, it’s better that candidates access the direct link to it here. 
• In the 2016 VITEEE result 2016 portal, candidates will have to submit their application number and the password, in the required space.
• When all the required details will be filled correctly, the result of the candidates will be displayed.

Candidates who will check their VITEEE 2016 result 2016 in the cyber-cafe are advised to log-out their VITEEE 2016 account after checking it. Also, in the result only the rank of the candidates will be displayed. 

Note: Candidates are advised to secure a copy VITEEE 2016 result, as it will be required in further rounds of admission like counselling.

VITEEE 2016 Result – Evaluation of The Rank

As stated above the VITEEE 2016 result will only state the rank achieved by the candidates. To evaluate the rank, of the each candidate, the University does not use the traditional cutoff mechanism, instead uses the Equating Methodology. It is a statistical procedure which is used to facilitate a meaningful and fair comparison of merit list and the rank.

Under VITEEE 2016 entrance examination all the test forms will be, approximately, of equivalent difficulty level. So, via Equipercentile Equating, the University will define a percentile rank of all the candidates, such that the scores on different forms with the same percentile rank are considered to be equivalent.

Only on the basis of the allocated VITEEE percentile rank, candidates will be called for the counselling round.

VIT Results 2016 VITEEE Cut off

VITEEE 2016 Counselling

Following the VITEEE 2016 result will be the counselling. It will be held in more than one round, and in multicity format. The dates for the round of counselling will be announced after the issuance of VITEEE 2016 result. However, if we evaluate the previous year trends then the counselling will be held in Mid May 2016.

The schedule of VITEEE 2016 Counselling First Round

Every year, over 1.5 lakh candidates were registered for the VIT entrance examination. However, the University has made clear that only up to 99,990 rank holders will be invited for the counselling. So, better the rank of the candidates, better are their chances of securing a seat in the desired branch and campus. Below we have given the schedule of the VITEEE counselling 2016 and knowing it candidate may check the procedure of it from the paragraphs below.

As always, the University will invites more candidates than the number of available seats. This will be done to avoid possible absentees. In 2014, the number of available seats was near about 4,917 which were filled half-way in the second round of counselling, somewhere near 75000 rank.
Then in 2015, the number of the available seats was approximately similar to that in 2014 and so was the number of applicants. So, all the seats in 2014 and 2015, were filled in the mid of VITEEE  2016 counselling.

Basically, the counselling will be held to allocate a seat to the candidates. It will be allocated as per the choice of the candidates, rank achieved by them and the availability of seats. To participate in the counselling, candidates will have to submit certain documents, which are listed below:
Documents required for verification are listed below. Candidates must bring them in original, along one photocopy of each. Candidates who will fail to produce the required documents will not be allowed to attend the counselling.

• VITEEE  Result Copy and E-Admit Card
• Marks Sheet of Class X and XI/ Qualifying Examination (if available)
• Community Certificate (Only for SC/ ST Candidates)
• Nativity Certificate
• Demand Draft of Rs. 30,000, drawn in favour of ‘VIT University’, payable at Vellore

Note: Nativity Certificate is only required for those candidates who are the residents of either Jammu and Kashmir and North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
During the admissions, along with the documents above, candidates will also have to submit, 2 set of photocopies for all the documents, below:

• Transfer Certificate (If available)
• Migration Certificate (If Issued by the Board)
• Conduct Certificate
• Photo Copy of Provisional Admission Letter
• 4 Recent Passport Size Colour Photographs
• Affidavit to be signed separately by Student, Parent & Hostel affidavit in Rs. 20 Stamp Paper
• Physical Fitness Certificate.

Note: The counselling fee is Non- Refundable. However, it will be adjusted in the tuition fee, after the admission confirmed. 

VITEEE results released

The result of VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE)-2016 was released on Thursday.

A student of Sri Chaitanya Junior College, Andhra Pradesh, Sevakula Vamshi, has secured the first rank in the examination.

According to a press release, G. Viswanathan, VIT Chancellor, said 2,12,238 candidates had registered for VITEEE. The examination for admission to various B.Tech programmes offered by VIT University’s Vellore and Chennai campuses was held from April 6 to 17 in 118 cities across India, Dubai, Kuwait and Muscat. Mohil Patel from Gujarat secured the second rank, while Satyajit Ghosh of Delhi came third.

Counselling

Counselling for candidates, who secured ranks up to 8,000, would be held on May 9, while it will be held for ranks from 8,001 to 12,000 on May 10, ranks from 12,001 to 16,000 on May 11.

Counselling for those who obtained ranks from 16,001 to 20,000 will be on May 12, the release said.
