Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Exam Board (BCECEB) has announced the results of Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE). This state level entrance exam was held on 17th April and 15th May 2016.

The Stage I exam had four sections – Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. The exam was for 150 marks with 50 marks for each section.

BCECE 2016 - Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) 2016 for Stage 1 was conducted by BCECE Board on April 17, 2016, while the entrance exam for Stage 2 will be conducted on May 15, 2016. In accordance with the Bihar combined entrance competitive examination Act, 1995, Government of Bihar constituted the board for conducting entrance examinations for admission to first year of undergraduate engineering courses available in colleges and institutes of Bihar. There are two stages of the entrance examination for engineering aspirants, and to get a seat in participating instututes of BCECE 2016, the candidates have to qualify both the stages of BCECE 2016. BCECE 2016 Eligibility Criteria:
  • Aspirants of BCECE 2016 must be a citizen of India.
  • They must have passed their 10+2 with minimum of 45% of marks (40% for SC/ST) with subjects Physics, Chemistry Mathematics / Biology as the primary subjects.
  • Those, who are going to appear for board exam in 2016, can also apply for BCECE 2016.
  • There is no age restriction for aspirants to apply for entrance exam.
BCECE 2016 Exam Pattern:
  • There are two stages of BCECE 2016 entrance exam.
  • In stage 1 of BCECE 2016, 50 questions (total 150 questions) were asked from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Total time duration of the exam will be 2 hours and 15 minutes.
  • There was negative marking in stage 1 of BCECE 2016. For every correct response, 4 marks were awarded and for every wrong answer, 1 mark was deducted. Total marks for stage 1 exam were 600.
  • In stage 2 of BCECE 2016, 100 questions (total 300 questions) will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. For each subject, candidates will have 90 minutes and there will be a gap of 30 minutes between two consecutive papers.
  • There will be negative marking in stage 2 of BCECE 2016. For every correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded and for every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted. Total marks for stage 2 exam will be 1200.
BCECE 2016 Application Form:
  • To appear in BCECE 2016, candidates had to register themselves online from February 1, 2016 to February 28, 2016. 
  • After registering online, candidates had to pay fee for engineering entrance exam. Candidates can complete the online application form only after the deposition of fees.
  • After completing the online application form in all respects like, filling all personal details, depositing the fee, uploading of scanned images etc. Candidates had to send the application form to office of BCECE with all the enclosures.

BCECE 2016 Result: In order to appear for counselling of BCECE 2016,Candidates will have to qualify the Stage 1 and stage 2 of this engineering entrance exam. After qualifying the stage 1 of BCECE 2016, candidates will be allowed to appear for Stage 2. The BCECE 2016 result of Stage 1 has been declared on April 28, 2016 and the result of stage 2 is expected to be declared in 1st week of June, 2016.

BCECE 2016 Counselling:
  • BCECE 2016 Counselling will be done on the basis of ranks obtained by a candidate in the entrance exam.
  • To appear in counselling, candidates will have to register themselves and apply for choice filling.
  • As per the scheduled dates, candidates have to report for handwriting test. Candidates can also check the provisional allotment status, but that status will not be considered as the final allocation status.
  • Only after qualifying the handwriting test, qualified candidates can check for the final seat allotment and can download their allotment letter of BCECE 2016.
  • After successful completion of counselling and downloading allotment letter, candidates must report to the allotted institutes for admission, fee deposition and document verification.

BCECE 2016 Eligibility Criteria

As per the Eligibility criteria of BCECE 2016, following are the criteria that must be fulfilled before applying for BCECE:
1. Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
2. The candidate must have passed class XII with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics as the core subjects.
3. Candidates who will be appearing in the class XII board examination are also eligible for the examination.
4. In the case of the candidate applying for engineering, there is no age limit as per the BCECE Eligibility Criteria.

BCECE 2016 Application Form

The registration portal for BCECE 2016 has become defunct. However, for our curious readers, the procedure to submit the form is given below. 
In order to apply for BCECE 2016, first download the prospectus from any of the following Websites:

The, click on link above and then click on “Apply for BCECE 2016″ link. After clicking, read all the instructions thoroughly and then start filling the online application form.
The entire process of BCECE Application Form Submitting is covered under the following five steps:
1. Step – One (Registration)
In this step, the candidates have to register themselves. After doing so, the candidate will receive a confirmation message of Successful Registration. In this message, the candidate will receive their registration number. It must be duly noted by the candidate that he/she should not tell the registration number and the password to anyone as this registration number will be considered as the Username of the candidate.
2. Step – Two (Examination Fee)
Those candidates who have successfully completed the step one of the process may proceed to the second step. In this step, the candidate is required to log in by entering the registration number and the password. Post successful login, the candidate may proceed to pay the examination fee. The fee payment can be done via any of the two media below:
1. Payment via bank challan
2. Online fee payment

BCECE 2016 Exam Fee

For general or backward or extremely backward candidate:
A PCM or PCB group candidate needs to pay Rs. 660 while a PCMB group candidate has to pay Rs. 730.
For SC or ST candidate
A PCM or PCB group candidate needs to pay Rs. 330 while a PCMB group candidate has to pay Rs. 365.
3. Step – Three (Personal Information)
After completing the first and second step, visit the website again and click on the link that says “Fill the Personal Information”. In this, the candidate has to fill all the Personal Information related entries. Thereafter, upload the scanned images of signature (either Hindi or English), passport size photograph and the board slip (in case the payment is done via bank challan). After ensuring that all the details are correctly and accurately filled, click on the “Submit” button.
4. Step – Four (Educational Information)
After filling all the personal information, click on the “Fill the Educational Information” link where you will be asked to fill all your educational details.
After you have completely filled the Part A and B of the BCECE application form, kindly examine all the filled entries. Post examining, download the filled application form of Part A and B.
5. Step five: Dispatch of Application Forms, Enclosures and Paid Challan by Registered Post / Speed Post:

After completely filling the application form, you need to send the hard copy
Following are the required documents that you need to attach with the BCECE application form:
1. Paste one copy of each photo in the space provided on part A and B which should be same as the passport size photograph that has been uploaded in the online form.
2. In the given space of each part, kindly sign either in Hindi or English. Do not sign n capital letters.
3. Candidate must write the declaration in his/ her own handwriting , wherever asked.
4. Attach challan board copy and all the required documents/ certificates/ mark-sheets which are required as the proof.

It must be duly noted that the candidate can make any required changes, if any, only before the submission. No changes will be allowed after the successful submission of the form.

BCECE 2016 Exam Pattern

BCECE 2016 will be conducted in two stages. All the eligible candidates will be asked to appear in the first stage, i.e., the qualifying paper of the exam. Further, only those who will qualify this first stage of the exam will be called to appear in the second stage of the exam. The question papers of both the stages will be of 10+2 level and will carry questions in the English language. Each question will have its Hindi version as well. Both the question paper will carry objective type questions only.

BCECE Stage I

The BCECE Exam pattern for stage I exam is as follows:
The first stage exam is expected to be conducted in the month of April 2016. The whole exam will carry 600 marks in total, with a time limit of 02 hours and 15 minutes. Moreover, each section will carry 200 marks. In this qualifying exam, there will be only four sections which are as follows:
1. Maths
2. Chemistry
3. Physics
4. Biology

Each section will carry equal marks, which will be 50 marks. Candidates have to compulsory attempt for Physics and Chemistry. If you are opting for engineering, then you need to attempt Maths section too.
BCECE Stage II
The second stage of the Bihar CET 2016 will be conducted in the month of May 2016. As per the exam pattern of BCECE 2016, again there will be four sections as mentioned above. Each section will carry 400 marks with a time limit of 1.5 hours each. All the questions will be of Multiple choice type and each question will carry 4 marks each. There will be 100 questions in each subject and the candidates opting for engineering will have to attempt Mathematics section along with the compulsory sections,i.e. Physics and Chemistry.

As per the BCECE 2016 marking scheme the candidates will be awarded four marks each for marking correct answer and one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

BCECE 2016 Result

The result of BCECE 2016 will be declared for both the stages of the exam,i.e., stage I and II. Tentatively, the result will be declared in the month of May-June 2016.

BCECE 2016 Counselling

Post declaration of BCECE Results, the board will conduct the BCECE counseling which will be held as per the merit list prepared for PCM and PCB candidates and as per the rank lists, as decided by the board. The counseling will start from the month of July 2016.

About Bihar CET Exam 2016
Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) is the state level entrance exam conducted every year in the Bihar state by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) and in the same way for the year 2016 also. The BCECEB will be constituted under the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Act, 1995.
