Toral Rasputra aka Anandi to quit Balika Vadhu?

A few days ago we told you that Devoleena Bhattacharjee aka Gopi bahu has put her foot down against another generation leap in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya. Now Toral Rasputra aka Anandi of Balika Vadhu too has expressed her unwillingness to grow older on screen.

According to reports, at present Balika Vadhu's popularity is at its lowest after a successful run of eight years. The producers are reportedly planning to introduce a time-leap to bring a new fizz in the show which is currently a rather dull affair.

There are also reports of a fall out between director Siddharth Sengupta and writers Gajra Kottary and Purnendu Shekhar which has affected the show massively.

It was recently reported that Surekha Sikri (Dadisa) and Rajeshwari Sachdeva (Mangla) will quit the show post the leap but Toral will continue to play the role of Anandi.

However, Toral is not too keen on putting whitener in her hair. Talking to Bollywoodlife, the actress said, "Anandi is much older than what I am in real life. I won't be comfortable growing older than this onscreen. It will be little odd."

Will there be a yet another big exit on Balika Vadhu after Anup Soni and Smita Bansal? Time will tell.

The actress says that she is yet to know whether the show will go in for a leap or not!

Balika Vadhu was one of the most successful shows for Colors. It enjoyed a run of eight years but TRPs have been falling in the past six months or so. There are also reports of a fall out between director Siddharth Sengupta and writers Gajra Kottary and Purnendu Shekhar, which is affecting the show. Many believe that the show has outrun its time and it is a good idea to shut shop.

Few days back we heard that Surekha Sikri (Dadisa) and Rajeshwari Sachdeva (Mangla) will quit the show. There was buzz that Toral Rasputra will also bid adieu to the show. Soon after, news floated in that there will be a leap on the show and Toral who plays Anandi will be a part of the cast.

BollywoodLife got in touch with Toral who said, “I am hearing a lot of stories about the show from outside sources. However, we haven’t heard anything about the leap from the makers so far. 
Whatever news I am getting is from industry gossip. I think the cast will get a clearer picture in two to three days time.”

When we quizzed her about the talk of Vivian Dsena and Rubina Dilaik’s new show Shakti replacing Balika Vadhu, she said, “I too have heard about it but I really don’t know.” However, the actress is clear about one thing. She won’t age more than what she is presently on the show. “Anandi is much older than what I am in real life. I won’t be comfortable growing older than this onscreen. It will be little odd,” she signs off.

Hmm…it seems like Toral has more or less made up her mind on what to do if the show takes a time leap.

Rajeshwari Sachdev, Toral Rasputra & Surekha Sikri to Exit from 'Balika Vadhu'?

Television’s popular show Balika Vadhu which has been one of the longest running serials is coming to an end. However, nothing has been yet confirmed by the producers, actors or the channel. We hear that the show will have a leap of fifteen years with a fresh cast.

According to a leading daily, the show will come back with its second season, narrating the story of another protagonist named Anandi, who fights the evil of child marriage.

It is reportedly said that Surekha Sikri (Dadisa), Toral Rasputra (Anandi) and Rajeswari Sachdev (Mangala) will soon take an exit from the show. While Mangala and Dadisa will be shown dead, the fate of Anandi’s character has not been confirmed as yet.

On the same Surekha has been quoted by a publication saying, “Balika Vadhu has been one phenonmenal journey for me. With my character coming to an end, I look forward to some more challenging roles.”
