England cricketer who proposed Virat Kohli arrives in India to play the World T20

Danielle met Virat when he was in England to play a test series

Virat Kohli has fans all over the world. He, with his batting has surely won many hearts across the globe. When he played a stupendous knock against South Africa in the 2014 World T20 semi-final to guide India to the final, one such admirer proposed the man from India on her twitter handle.

The girl is none but England woman cricketer Danielle Wyatt who immediately tweeted “Kohli, marry, me!” after the talented right-hander’s match-winning effort. Indian cricket fans went gaga over that tweet and the news spread like fire. Here is the tweet

Wyatt then got the chance to meet Virat in England, when the later went there to play a 5-match test series in 2014. It has been two years since that Wyatt’s tweet but fans continue to comment and re-tweet that tweet even today. Danielle responded to it by tweeting

Danielle also tweeted about watching Virat’s matches in the Indian Premier League too.

Virat is currently in superb touch as he started the year 2016 with a bang. He batted wonderfully well in the ODI series in India and carried his rich vein of form in the subsequent T20 series too where he won the man of the series prize for his consistent display with the bat.

Virat then guided India to their sixth Asia Cup crown as he continued to amass runs at will. Virat is now looking forward to lifting his maiden World T20 title which he missed last time by a whisker. His efforts in the final went in vain as India lost to Sri Lanka in the final.

The 24-year-old Danielle is currently in India to play the Women’s T20 world cup for England and will definitely have another opportunity to meet the man she wanted to “marry” in 2014. Fans surely will be excited if the two players meet during the world cup.
