Mother of quintuplets reveals babies
Family of Australian mom who naturally conceived rare quintuplets
Kim
Tucci — who gave birth to quintuplets in January 2016 — has released
pictures from a photo shoot of her babies. Believe it or not, Keith,
Ali, Penelope, Tiffany and Beatrix were conceived naturally — a one in
55 million chance.

She,
in fact, gave birth to them in just 2 minutes, assisted by a team of 50
doctors and nurses. Tucci told an Australian current affairs programme,
60 Minutes, that her body was shutting off during the pregnancy. Due to
mounting health risks to both her and her yet-to-be-born children, she
was initially given a choice of saving two babies, while terminating the
others. "No-one thought I could do it, and I did, I showed everyone in
my life," Tucci said in the interview.
According to a WA Today report
dated March 16, 2016, Tucci has about 150 volunteers on hand to help
her and her husband with the estimated 50 nappy changes and 40 bottle
feeds each day. Perth and Districts Multiple Births Association (PDMBA)
volunteer support programme coordinator, Krista Bingham, said, "The
volunteers will be doing stuff like helping to feed babies, changing
nappies, helping with washing bottles and preparing feeds and changing
linen and washing baby clothes and all those sort of tasks. They'll also
help with cuddling the babies which is really important because
multiple birth babies need cuddles just as much as single babies do."
Many of the volunteers are twins or triplets themselves.
The Tucci family has set up a crowdfunding initiative on Gofundme.com to raise money for a van that is big enough to fit their entire family.
