बीते साल सितंबर में जम्मू-कश्मीर में आई बाढ़ के चलते परीक्षा मार्च में कराई गई थी, जिसमें कुल 50,535 छात्र-छात्राएं शामिल हुए थे। जिसमें से 26,900 लड़के और 23,600 लड़कियां थीं। संबंधित अधिकारियों के मुताबिक पहले तीन स्थानों को सात लड़कियों ने साझा किया।

पुलवामा के अवंतिपोरा इलाके की छात्रा अनिका शबीर ने अधिकतम 500 अंकों में 494 अंकों के साथ पहला स्थान हांसिल किया। दूसरे स्थान पर 491 अंकों के साथ चार लड़कियां रहीं जबकि 490 अंकों के साथ तीसरे स्थान पर दो लड़कियां रहीं। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि पहले 20 स्थानों को 182 छात्रों ने साझा किया।
परीक्षा में कुल 71.85 फीसद छात्र सफल हुए हैं। यह आंकड़ा पिछले साल से करीब एक प्रतिशत कम था। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि बहरहाल, परीक्षा में लड़कों के पास होने का कुल प्रतिशत (74.5 प्रतिशत) लड़कियों (68.8 प्रतिशत) के मुकाबले अधिक है।
