Chris Gayle will miss Royal Challengers Bangalore's next match against the Mumbai Indians as he has gone back home for the birth of his son.

RCB's young batsman Sarfaraz Khan confirmed the news ahead of their match against Mumbai.
"Gayle has become a father, so he has gone home to visit his family and son," Sarfaraz said at the pre-match press conference in Mumbai.

"I'm on my way, baby", wrote Gayle on his Instagram account as he took the flight to the West Indies to be at the side of his partner, Natasha Berridge.

I'm on my way, Baby.

Gayle might also miss Royal Challengers Bangalore's match against Rising Pune Supergiants on April 22.

The dashing Jamaican also thanked the services of Qatar Airways as he headed home for this special occasion.

Thanks @henrygayle! We hope you enjoyed the flight as much as you enjoyed the cake :) https://twitter.com/henrygayle/status/722196096546525184
The left-hander, who smashed a 48-ball century against England in the recently-concluded ICC World Twenty20, has not been in top form in the IPL. Gayle has scores of 0, 1, 4, 5 and 4 in his last five Twenty20 innings, including the World Cup final where West Indies beat England.
