MS Dhoni: "We were looking to bowl first. It is a good wicket and it will remain the same, also it is slightly difficult to defend totals here. Not a lot of time to get used to the team. I was here in Pune but the foreign players arrived late. We do not have the luxury like we had at CSK. It is like six batters and five bowlers. but everybody knows the responsibility."

Rohit Sharma: "We are going to bat first. Looks a good track, played enough cricket here to understand what to expect from the track. We have had a very good preparation. Lot of the foreign players arrived early. All the preparation is done and it is time for some real business here. We are playing with six batters and five bowlers, which includes three overseas batters and one seamer."
Toss: Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma win the toss and elect to bat against the Rising Pune Supergiants
Pre-match: Defending champions Mumbai Indians will aim to get their IPL 2016 campaign off to a winning start when they take on debutants Rising Pune Supergiants in the opening match of the cash-rich T20 tournament at the Wankhede Stadium.

Mumbai who have won the title twice in 2013 and 2015, have strengthened their squad even more, thanks to the players' auction earlier this year.

The team will be led by India opener Rohit Sharma who has been a successful skipper for the past couple of seasons and has led the side to two IPL titles.
