Google celebrates Earth Day with five doodles by doodler Sophia Diao. The Doodles showcase five biomes from around the world. You have to look sideways and squint to spot the Google logos.
Google celebrates Earth Day 2016 with five colourful doodles
The tundra has a lonely polar bear on an ice sheet below auroras. There is a skewed Google logo that is formed in the melting ice.
Google Doodle Earth Day Fox
One of them shows a fox running through the trees in a temperate broad leaf forest. Here the logo is formed in patches in the patterns on the trees in the foreground.
Google Doodle Earth Day Elephant
There is the grass savanna at sunset with an elephant. Trees, sticks, flowers and the setting sun seem to be in the same places as the letters in the logo.
Google Doodle Earth Day Turtle
Refresh and you will also see a doodle of a semi arid desert with an tortoise (shaped in the letter ‘O’) reaching out to eat from a ‘G’ shaped shrub.
Google Doodle Earth Day Octopus
Finally, there are the underwater coral reefs with an octopus. The flowing tentacles of the octopus seem to form a little too many ‘G’s and ‘O’s if you look closely.

Every April 22Earth Day celebrates the end of winter and the beginning of spring in the northern hemisphere. The day is dedicated to environmental concerns, and peace. On Earth Day 2016, The Paris Agreement is expected to be signed by over 120 countries, a worldwide effort to tackle the problems of greenhouse gas emissions.
