With IPL 2016 picking up it’s speed, West Indies mighty hitter broke the news of his partner Natasha Berridge expecting their first child and flew back to Windies to be with his partner at this hour. The good news has flourished that Gayle is a proud father of baby girl ‘Blush’. Yes, Gayle has gone to social media to express his gratitude. He posted the picture on Instagram along with a small thank you note to his fans as well mentioning, “We would like to welcome the arrival of our beautiful daughter ‘Blush’ to this world 2 hours ago, Thank God. #GoodHealth&Strength – The greatest gift and feelings anyone would want. Great experience witnesses every bit of it. Have to give my blessings to Tasha, strong woman.”

Natasha and Gayle flew back to Jamaica on Monday and also confirmed the news through social media. Gayle will be missing two games of IPL for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), one that was against Mumbai Indians (MI) on Wednesday while the second match is scheduled to be played against Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) on Friday. Gayle has not been in particularly good form of late, dismissed for single digits in his two appearances in the IPL 2016 so far.


Gayle’s captain Virat Kohli however believes that Gayle’s form is not a worry.  ‘’I am confident that Gayle can come up with runs when the team needs it’’, he reasoned. Kohli also said, ‘’You can certainly be rest assured that Gayle will come good as the tournament progresses. He would score a century when the team will need it. I am not too worried about Gayle, because the other guys are stepping up nicely. Cricket is all about grabbing the opportunity, if some others fail,” as mentioned on rediff. RCB lost their second consecutive match against MI at Wankhede by 6 wickets, with some spectacular performance by Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Krunal Pandya, along with the finishing touch by Kieron Pollard.
