University Grant Commission is going to conduct the National Eligibility Test NET 2016 in different centers in which large numbers of candidates are going to appear. This exam is the of Indian Nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian Universities and colleges. Candidates are applying for the exam and those who are interested are informed that the Online Application is available on the official website from 12th April 2016.

NET 2015 June examination was conducted by CBSE but Again UGC Take the responsibility to handle examination work. And now UGC December 2015 Examination will be conducted by UGC.

Educational Qualification:  Master’s Degree from Government Recognized universities in Humanities, Social Science, Computer Science and Application, Electronic Science Etc. and has secured 55% Marks for General and 50% Marks for OBC/SC/PWD Candidates. Besides This, Ph.D. qualified can also apply and students who are pursuing the Master’s Degree in Final Year can also apply.

Age Limit: 

• Junior Research Fellowship: Candidates should be not more than 28 Years, and 5 Years relaxation is provided to the candidates belongs to OBC/SC/ST/PWD.
• Assistant Professor: There is No Upper Age Limit for the NET exam for Assistant Professor.

Candidates have to Apply Online from the official website cbsenet.nic.in. Some steps are given below which can help you to Apply Online:

• Candidates first require to read the instructions given on the website then click on the above link.
• Now fill all the entries with relevant information on the application form.   
• Then upload your scanned passport sized photograph on the given space for the same.
• Now pay the Application Fee of Rs.600/- for General, Rs.300/- for OBC and Rs.150/- for SC/ST/PWD through the Credit/ Debit Card, you can also pay through the eChallan generated from the website at any branch of (Syndicate/Canara/ICICI/HDFC Bank) .
• Now click on submit button. And take a Printout of filled Application Form, Attendance Slip and Admission Card.
• Attach the required documents with them and send to Registrar/Principle of the Coordinating Institute.

Selection Criteria: The election of a candidate will be based on the marks obtained in the Written Exam and Personal Interview.
