Theri trailer: A two-minute treat for Vijay fans
It is common knowledge that Theri is one of the most-anticipated
films of 2016. After Puli's failure, Vijay is likely to bounce back with
this actioner, which has already garnered a lot of attention. Added to
that, Vijay is playing a dual role in the film. These factors have
skyrocketed the expectations for the film.
It's all Vijay's show in this two-minute trailer. From the sneak-peek we gather that Vijay is in seen three different avatars: Joseph Kuruvilla - a single father, Vijay Kumar - swaggy cop and Dharmeswar.
In a peculiar move, Atlee, director of Theri, roped in filmmaker Mahendran to play the baddie in the film. Though Mahendran has earlier acted in the biographical film Kamaraj, he hasn't played villain roles in any films.
The songs of Theri has been composed by GV Prakash. The makers released the songs on Sunday (March 20) and the album has received positive responses from the fans.
The film also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Amy Jackson and Radhika in important roles. Theri is all set to hit the screens on April 14.

GV Prakash has tested the waters with different and not-so-mainstream voices for the Theri album. He has roped in musician Deva for the title song of the film, Jithu Jilladi. Likewise, Vaikom Vijayalakshmi's voice in the romantic song En Jeevan adds a peculiar flavor to it. It is a well-known fact that TR Rajendar has crooned for a number, Raangu, in the film.
Vijay himself took to Twitter to share the songs of Theri.
