Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy A 2016 series for India earlier this month. The company has now started selling Galaxy A5 2016 and Galaxy A7 2016 in India.

 Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 and Galaxy A7 2016 are now available in India on Snapdeal. The smartphones are priced at Rs. 29,400 Rs. 33,400 respectively. The Galaxy A series of smartphone comes in Metallic body and Fingerprint scanner.

 Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) features a 5.2 inch Full HD (1920×1080) Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 1.6GHz Octa Core Exynos Processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. For graphics, it comes with Mali GPU.

 Galaxy A5 2016 comes with a 13 Megapixel Autofocus rear camera with LED Flash and OIS. For selfies, it comes with a 5 Megapixel front camera with a LED flash. It comes with 16GB on-board storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB using MicroSD Card.

 Its connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth and Micro-USB. It packs a 2,900 mAh battery with fast charging support. It comes with fingerprint sensor under its home button. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Samsung Galaxy A (2016) Smartphones

Samsung has launched new TouchWiz themes for the second-generation Galaxy A-Series smartphones. At present, there are 11 TouchWiz themes available for the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016), Galaxy A5 (2016), Galaxy A7 (2016), and Galaxy A9 smartphones.

 Sammobile reports that the new themes are exclusive to the new Galaxy A (2016) series. Notably, the South Korean company introduced the Themes Store first on the Galaxy S6 last year, and it was later made accessible to more handsets.

 The report claims that the new themes added for the second-generation Galaxy A-Series smartphones are exclusive to them, and cannot be accessed by other Samsung smartphones that support TouchWiz themes. The themes are available in Simple Gold, Simple Pink Gold, Simple White, and Simple Black.

 To recall, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A3 (2016), Galaxy A5 (2016), and Galaxy A7 (2016) in China last month and promised to be available in other markets in the future. There's no word yet on the price of the three metal-clad Galaxy A (2016) smartphones. All three handsets run Android 5.1 Lollipop and come in dual-SIM options as well. The Samsung Galaxy A9, the company's premium smartphone in the A-Series, was launched last. It went on sale in China with a price tag of CNY 3,199 (roughly Rs. 32,500).

It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and optical image stabilisation (OIS) and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Both sport f/1.9 aperture lenses. The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) shares most specifications with the Galaxy A7 (2016), but with some minor changes. It sports a smaller 5.2-inch full-HD Super Amoled display, 2GB of RAM, and 2900mAh battery with fast charging. The Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) bears a 4.7-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution Super Amoled display, quad-core 1.5GHz processor, 1.5GB of RAM, and a 2300mAh battery. It is more compact than the Galaxy A5 (2016) and Galaxy A7 (2016).
