TVS Apache RTR 200 4V launched in India at a price of Rs 88,990
The long wait for the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is
finally over, as the home-grown bikemaker launched it in India at a
starting price of Rs 88,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company has also
re-introduced the TVS Victor
with significant graphic updates and a new engine. The new TVS Apache
200 4V is being made available in two versions – Carburetor and fuel
injection priced at Rs. 88,990 and Rs 1.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
respectively.. At this price, this naked sportbike will rival the KTM
Duke 200 and Bajaj Pulsar NS200.
The TVS Apache 200cc has 2,050mm long, 790mm wide, 1,105mm high and has wheelbase of 1,353mm. The bike has a ground clearance of 180mm, and features a 12-litre fuel tank. The 200cc naked sportsbike sits on a double cradle split synchro stiff chassis, and comes equipped with a mono-tube monoshock suspension at the rear and telescopic forks up front.
The 197.75 cc, SOHC, four-valve, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine, with a carburetor, offers 20.2bhp at 8,500 rpm. It can accelerate 0-60kmph in 3.95 seconds, while maintaining a top speed of 127kmph. Whereas, the Apache RTR 200 EFI develops a maximum power of 20.7bhp at 8,500 rpm. It is capable to mark 0-60kmph in 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 129kmph. Both the variants take 12 seconds to mark 0-100kmph on speedometer.
Both variants yield a maximum torque of 18.1 Nm. The braking system consists of a 270 mm petal disc up front and a 240 mm petal disc at the rear with dual-channel ABS. While the carburetor variant carries a kerb weight of 148 kg, the EFI model weighs 148.5 kg.
Based on the ‘RTR’ platform, this naked sportbike features an aggressive styling that will certainly appeal young enthusiasts. Though, it shares some of its design bits with the RTR 160 and RTR 180. The bike gets new headlight cluster, split seats, fuel tank with extensions, clip-on handlebars, and revised mud guards and exhaust with twin mufflers. It also features an all-digital instrument cluster with tachometer.
The new TVS Apache RTR 200 is equipped with 10-spoke, 17-inch alloys, and 90/90 R17 front and 130/70 R17 rear tyres. Other noteworthy features are – black finish on the engine, larger petal disc brakes at the front & rear, mobile-charging point and upward riding stance.
The bike has a kerb weight of 140kgs. The Apache RTR 200 4V is available with a choice of 7 colours – Black, Matte Black, White, Matte White, Matte Gray, Matte Red and Matte Yellow
